Congratulations to the new Team Players in the Spotlight! Each team player is nominated anonymously by a member of the SwimRVA community for their hard work and dedication to SwimRVA’s mission!

Most Spirited

Kathy has been an active team member for 5 years. She is an avid deep water aerobics participant who you can always find having fun while working hard. Kathy has a passionate heart and is an awesome advocate for the SwimRVA Wellness program. She is a friendly face who can spark up a conversation with anyone, and will keep you laughing.

Hardest Working

Sue has been an active member for 5 years. She started out taking shallow water classes, and has moved to the more challenging deep water classes. and even a land Core Blast class! Sue is a great leader. She gives her maximum effort no matter what class she is taking, which helps to motivate others to do the same. You would never know Sue had both knees replaced. Keep up the great work!

Friendliest

Kermit has been an active member of SwimRVA for 5 years. You can count on him to have a smile on his face and a warm greeting when you see him. Kermit is a joy to take a class with because he adds his own charm to his hard work. Kermit always has some great jokes up his sleeve, and is awesome at making new class participants feel comfortable and welcomed to the SwimRVA family!

Community Hero of the Month

Pat joined the SwimRVA family 3 years ago and has brought her friend, Elaine, who is blind, with her all 3 years. Pat has no formal training working with the blind, but knew Elaine would benefit from the social interaction and physical exercises in the wellness classes.

Pat is always willing to help the SwimRVA community. She was a timer at the USA Swimming Futures swim meet and helps the Learn-to-Swim program! Thanks for being an excellent team player.
