Congratulations to the new Team Players in the Spotlight! Each team player is nominated anonymously by a member of the SwimRVA community for their hard work and dedication to the mission of SwimRVA.
Hardest Working | Ralph
Ralph is consistently at SwimRVA multiple times a week every week taking classes. When he is not there we get concerned because he never misses a class unless he is out of town or sick. He has lost over 30 pounds since joining SwimRVA- a testament to his hard work and dedication. I really wanted to nominate him for friendliest too because he warmly welcomes every newcomer to class and makes them feel right at home. I love going to class with Ralph-what a motivator.
Friendliest | Lauren and Jay
Jay and Lauren joined the SwimRVA family one year ago and quickly got plugged into the wellness community by taking classes. It did not take long before they developed many new friendships because of their kind and caring personalities.
Jay and Lauren will give you a warm welcome to class in the morning and make sure you feel comfortable especially if you are new. They are guaranteed to brighten your morning by making you smile and laugh. Jay and Lauren always find ways to have fun while working hard!
Most Spirited | Kathie
Kathie has been a dedicated member of SwimRVA for almost 5 years! She is a strong advocate for water exercise, especially in the deep water. Kathie volunteers her time serving on the SwimRVA Wellness Advisory Board because she wants to help better the lives of individuals in the Richmond community through wellness.
Kathie has a positive energy and warm presence that is a joy to be around. She has formed many lasting friendships in the SwimRVA community and we love having her with us!
Community Service Hero | Barbara
Barbara has a strong passion for helping others in need. She volunteers many hours to serve the Richmond community and surrounding areas. Barbara goes to the VA hospital on a regular basis to give emotional and social support to the patients.
Barbara also dedicates her time to picking up trash in Chesterfield. She will go out with a group on a monthly basis, but she also always carries a trash bag and gloves with her when she is around town. Barbara is continually looking for new ways to serve others and make the community a better place.
