Located conveniently in Chesterfield County, CSAC serves the Greater Richmond area as a catalyst for regional aquatics and community-wide focus on water safety, health & fitness, sports trouism and competitive swimming.  We offer a wide array of programs and features including swimming lessons, group swim classes, water aerobics, pool membership packages, water polo, CPR classes, lifeguard training, masters swimming, warm water therapy lessons, land fitness classes, and youth triathlon training.

Lifeguard

SwimRVA is looking for late lifeguards to join our team starting immediately. Send an email to brad.burton@swimrichmond.org with your application to get the ball rolling and join our team!

The Lifeguard serves as an integral part of the SwimRVA team by ensuring safety in and out of all pools. In addition to ensuring safety, the Lifeguard will inspect the facility on a daily basis and report any unsafe conditions as well as performing facility maintenance and other operational tasks assigned by the Aquatics Manager.

Lifeguard Position Requirements

  • Lifeguard Certified with CPR for the professional rescuer, First Aid, and AED.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patrons including parents, children, and funders.

  • Demonstrates confidence in knowledge of safety, first-aid and lifeguarding skills.

  • Demonstrates some knowledge of pool maintenance and sanitation.

  • Able to carry out water rescues.

  • Takes initiative and prioritizes tasks.A team player that demonstrates a positive attitude and strong sense of customer service.

  • Flexible and able to adapt to a developing and changing work environment.

  • You must be at least 16 years old to apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with current certifications will be given priority.

  • Candidates will be asked to perform a swim test and demonstration of rescue skills prior to employment.

  • Positive and energetic attitudes are a plus.

We are now hiring Lifeguards for weekday mid (11am to 4pm) and evening(4pm to 9:30pm) shifts. We are also seeking applicants with weekend availability to accomodate events held at the facility.  This is a part time position with approximately 25 hours per week available to lifeguarding staff.  There is a potential for an elevated number during demanding events.
