Located in Chesterfield County, SwimRVA serves the Greater Richmond area as a catalyst for regional aquatics and community-wide focus on water safety, health & fitness, sports tourism and competitive swimming.  We offer swimming lessons, water aerobics, aqua running, water polo, CPR & lifeguard certification courses, masters swimming, warm water therapy pool, land fitness classes, and youth triathlon training.

Follow along as we witness some the most amazing long distance swims ever accomplished by any individual!  Support Courtney Paulk as she embarks on a challenge only few have ever tried.  Over 80 miles of non-stop swimming all to raise awareness for the benefits of swimming!

Water Fitness Instructor

The water fitness instructor serves as an integral part of the GRAP team by conducting a program that is designed to develop and maintain general and/or specific components of physical fitness (flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, balance and/or cardio-respiratory). 

 Water Fitness Instructor Job Requirements

  • Water Fitness Instructor Certification or willingness to work towards certification
  • Demonstrates confidence in understanding the body, its movements and mechanics and its reaction to the water.
  • Demonstrates confidence in knowledge of water safety.
  • Demonstrates the ability to create and implement a lesson plan
  • Demonstrates excellent oral communication skills.

Special Physical Demands

  • Stay physically fit in order to properly and effectively conduct a class.

The Greater Richmond Aquatics Partnership seeks qualified, motivated, energetic  individuals to teach various water fitness classes. Our brand new 54,000 square foot facility located in Chesterfield County, Virginia houses three pools to provide a wide variety of classes. Applicants who have the ability to teach shallow or deep water fitness, aqua pilates, aqua zumba or aqua boot camp need apply (Must demonstrate strong customer service skills).
