Come join the party! This class is geared for all levels of participants, and no previous dance experience is required. Let loose and enjoy this Latin inspired dance-fitness class which incorporates various moves and rhythms. You will be shown easy to follow steps which will sculpt and tone your body and provide a great cardio workout. If you ever wanted to salsa, cha cha, belly dance or do the flamenco, this class is for you!
This class will help you focus on core strength, balance and flexibility by performing traditional abdominal and back exercises. You may even walk away firming up a few other areas as well!
Vinyasa coordinates movement with breath as it helps unify the spirit, mind, and body. It focuses on the cultivation on balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance. Vinyasa uses the breath as a tool to quiet the chatter of the mind and help find peace and inner stillness. Each practice includes centering, pranayama (breath work), pratapana (warm-ups), asana (poses), shavasana (relaxation), meditation, and closing. Sun salutations, balancing postures, back bends, and breathing techniques are combined for a well-balanced and authentic experience.
Gentle Hatha Yoga:
Connected by the breath, we move through the series of yoga postures, or asanas, in a quick, 45 minute practice which tones the body, improves grace, balance and agility, and provides gentle aerobic conditioning. Our practice focuses on strengthening the core muscles of the abdomen, opening the chest and back, and building cardiovascular fitness, all set to a fun and funky playlist. Leave refreshed from a long day, calm and ready to relax into your evening, and grateful for having taken the time to take care of yourself.
