SwimRVA offers a nice variety of water fitness and aerobics classes. We have everything including Aquacise, Aqua Boot Camp, Aqua Zumba, Deep Water and Arthritis Foundation. These classes have grown in popularity due to our first class water fitness instructors, world class aquatic facility and fun atmosphere!
This is a low impact shallow water class that is designed to promote joint flexibility, range of motion and agility while building cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength. The class is self-regulating: you determine the intensity anywhere from light to strenuous.
This deep water class offers the ability to strengthen and tone muscles while building cardiovascular fitness with no impact. The class is fun, safe and versatile for any fitness level. Aqua-belts are provided and highly encouraged to be worn. Participants should be comfortable in deep water and should be prepared for a more intense workout than Aquacise.
If you are interested in a party in the pool then this class is for you! This is a low impact shallow water invigorating workout. Participants will splash, stretch, twist, shout and laugh in this safe and challenging class. You will also receive a workout that involves cardio-conditioning and a body toning experience. Think of your traditional aqua fitness class with a Latin flare.
Aqua Boot Camp:
A high intensity shallow water class that is designed to challenge you! This class offers both cardio and toning components while using equipment and the waters resistance. This is a great addition to your cross-training fitness routine and swimming ability is not required.
A recreational group exercise program that is offered in shallow warm-water. Designed to improve range of motion, muscle strength and endurance. Participants can improve their overall health by increasing joint flexibility and reducing pain and stiffness while supported by water’s buoyancy and resistance. Suitable for every fitness level, the class is offered in a friendly environment that encourages social interaction.
This is a shallow water class designed to develop and maintain general components of Physical Fitness. Benefits of this class include flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, balance and cardio-respiratory. You will work hard at your fitness level, but it will be fun. Join Us!
